On-demand night-time marking (ADLS) has established itself as a key element for greater acceptance of wind energy – both in the industry and in society. As a pioneer and market leader in Germany, Lanthan Safe Sky (LSS) has already equipped more than 6,000 wind turbines with ADLS technology, which is compatible with all wind turbines thanks to close cooperation with wind turbine manufacturers.
While LSS continues to consolidate its strong market position in the onshore sector, it is also building on its successes in the offshore segment. “The challenges at sea – for example in terms of signal processing, connectivity and extreme environmental conditions – require special expertise. This is precisely where we contribute our extensive experience from the offshore sector in order to implement tailor-made solutions together with the system manufacturers,” explains Henning von Barsewisch, Managing Director of LSS. In the meantime, 16 projects with 927 offshore wind turbines have already been equipped with our technology.
International interest in ADLS is also growing significantly: more and more countries are currently preparing to approve this innovative technology. Julian Bialk, Business Development Manager at LSS, reports: “We are receiving inquiries from all over the world. We are in close contact with authorities and institutions in numerous regions in order to establish ADLS there in the future. We are pioneers of transponder ADLS in Germany and our expertise is recognized internationally. We look forward to being able to set standards for more resident-friendly wind energy outside Germany too.”
In addition to strengthening its market position at home and abroad, the company is also focusing on innovation potential in the area of technology: “Our technology team is continuously working on improvements – for example in the area of mobile connectivity – in order to offer our customers even more stable, future-proof ADLS systems,” explains Jochen Fuglsang-Petersen, Head of Technology at the company. “We are consistently developing our platform further so that operators can use the maximum ADLS functionality with maximum air traffic safety even under demanding conditions.”
The focus will remain 100% on ADLS in the future: “We live this technology – every day,” says Henning von Barsewisch, Managing Director of the company. “This has given us a unique position and success in the market that we are very proud of: We have the greatest fleet operating experience, achieve the best lights-out times and combine in-depth commercial as well as technological expertise. Our long-standing, trusting customer relationships speak for themselves and are confirmation for us that we are on the right track and ideally positioned for future challenges.”
