For a
Safe Sky
and Dark
Nights.

Welcome to Lanthan Safe Sky! As the first certified manufacturer, we offer Aircraft Detection Lighting Systems (short: ADLS) based on transponder signals. Our mission is to bring back dark night skies for residents and the environment by switching off the red obstruction lights when there is no air traffic. At the same time, our systems keep aviation safe. They reliably monitor the relevant airspace, from ground level to upper airspace.

Our ADLS locates air traffic on the basis of transmitted signals, for example from onboard transponders. Thus, we can switch off the red obstruction lights at wind turbine generators (WTG) when they are not needed, as is the case when there are no aircraft in close proximity to the WTG.

While Lanthan Safe Sky is a relatively young company, we still build on years of experience. Our team consists of experts in aviation, obstacle marking, project management, and wind energy. We customize our ADLS to the exact needs of your project: Our experienced team of engineers works hand-in-hand with our sales team to enable simple and cost-effective solutions for our customers.

For a low-risk and hassle-free installation

By making ADLS obligatory for all WTGs in Germany in the EEG 2018 (Amendment to German Renewable Energy Act), the German legislator has set the course for more acceptance in the wind energy sector. Therefore, all onshore WTGs that are subject to beaconing must be equipped with an ADL system by January 1st, 2024. This affects approximately 17.500 WTG throughout Germany. It takes competence, experience and timely action to realise this considerable amount in the required time frame.

Now it is up to all of us, wind energy operators, manufacturers and ADLS providers, to take advantage of the time available in order to turn this modification process into success.
